I found a 66 C code picture EC24 in this thread https://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=23851.msg148843#msg148843 that makes me think maybe the 2 heater hoses in fact are not next to each other with an aluminum strap after all. I know this is 66 car but am wondering if that became the norm for subsequent years.

1968 Mustang / 68 Carburetor Details 2V Heater Hose Bracket
« Last post by dkknab on Today at 10:00:26 PM »
I was looking through earlier C code pictures to try to figure out what's best for my pcv hose connection when I stumbled upon this 66 carburetor detail.  Looks like the heater hose bracket in the picture EC2 is yellow chromate color.  Is that also the case for 68 2V carbs?

From that picture it also looks like just one of the heater hoses runs next to the carb. I know this is a 66 but I'm wondering if that is the case for all 2V carbs.

Sorry, you are right that is unclear. No the latch works great. I can not adjust the belt length. It is stuck at the current length. I have thought about WD40 but afraid it will stain the belt.

My notes say these drawings were first made in 2016. I consolidated the information from several sources into one document. The first picture is the drawing, the second and third are the associated part numbers for the item numbers on the first with refences. In many cases, there are more than one part number.

"Stuck" as in you can't lift the latch? Have you tried WD-40?

1964 1/2 - 1965 / stuck seat belt

I have a 1964.5 Convertible Mustang I am restoring.  I have the stock front seat belts (although I am missing one female half).  The one female I have looks terrific, but I cannot get the seat belt length to adjust.  It is stuck.

Has anyone seen this?

Is there a fix?

Can these be taken apart?

Here's my situation.  First picture with just bulk hose. Pcv sits fine.

Second picture with bent ventilation hose and heater hose in carb bracket. The pcv will not sit completely.

Third picture with heater hose not in bracket.  Pcv sits fine.

And fourth picture I've taken off the carb bracket.  It has blue paint on it so I'll clean it up.

Thoughts?

That's exactly the one I have, not the NOS one though.

As NOS does that mean it was the service replacement part that differed from the one used in the factory or was it exactly the same as the one when the car was built? From my 2 images from different parts of the assembly manual it seems there was some issue with either the hose or the routing of the heater hoses.

So the $64K question is which is it?

No idea, I never bought one and Dallas Mustang has been gone for many years.
