1967 Mustang / Re: emergency brake indicator light

Ah ! Makes perfect sense.

I guess that?s what they?re trying to indicate here, but it wasn?t clear to me and they only pictured one of the three indicators.

I guess that also means that the places that are selling reproductions for mustangs, that are rectangular and not round, are incorrect?

( for some reason the website is turning apostrophes into question marks when I post a message?)
     Thanks !

There were actually 3 different Parking Brake Warning Lights available in 1967 ;

1) C7AZ-15A852A for Full Size Fords

2) C7OZ-15A852-A for Fairlanes and Falcons

3) C7ZZ-15A852-A for Mustangs

I believe that the reason for 3 different ones was to be able to best fit the different dashes. The emtirely differnt appearances then made it easier to distinguish "which was which.

See attached pictures.

Hope this helps,

Bob

1966 Mustang / 66 Fog light restoration - foam used internally
« Last post by Hipo giddyup on April 30, 2025, 10:56:30 AM »
I?m starting to restore a pair of original 66 GT fog lights. When taking these apart, I noticed that they used some sort of foam cushion on each side. Is this original?  I?m sure it was to help stop with vibrations, etc. What would be a good replacement to use in this area if it is indeed original?
Thanks so much.

Interior & Trunk / Re: "B" sticker on the back of the trunk lid - 65-6 Dearborn
« Last post by J_Speegle on April 29, 2025, 11:21:33 PM »
Just one of of a half dozen plus inspector stickers applied to Dearborn built cars in the very early years. These were used in periods, at Dearborn on and off during 65 and 66 production. When they didn't use them rubber stamps with different information and inspector numbers were used. What year are the cars? Some were removed during the cars dealer prep before they were sold to the first buyer

Others would typically be under the hood.

There are numerous threads on the basic subject for 65 and 66 plus later years there

One thread on 66 Dearborn stickers found

Reviving an old thread...

The 1967 accessories catalog shows this (attached) as the bezel for the brake light switch (and all of the repros seem to be rectangular as well)... Does anyone know why there seem to be 2 different options ?

I am looking for the phosphates part shown in the picture. I have searched around the parts places and can?t find it. I needed to borrowed a picture off of the forums to show you. Thanks

Thank you. I?ve got a 69 with 70 style duals which has got new trunk floors (no hole for wire yet) and have to decide if I go 69 or 70 style with the wiring routing... ::)
