1970 Mustang / Fuel gauge wiring
« Last post by sidewinder427 on April 28, 2025, 03:16:06 PM »On a 70 dual exhaust car does the wiring from the sending unit enter the trunk in the same (middle) location as on a 69 single exhaust car?

The '66 style bulb senders have 80 printed on one side of the square base. That is what I suspected. Thank you.
Bob, interest in either version for this build. Earlier no notch would be slightly preferred but not a must have. ThanksThen use the Summit racing or other brand alternatives https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g2340 . It has no notches like the 69 version ,you will not be able to tell the difference once installed given it was painted with the engine, will work at least as good if not better and will be a lower price then the typically 100.00+ going price for a new or used Ford one.
PM if you have one to sell. ThanksDoes it matter which style you need? The 1969 or the more common 70 version?
I can't find in my notes what the unmarked oil pressure gauge in a 66 registers at the high end. Is it 60,80 or 100 PSI ? A working pressure gauge and the number of 60,80 or 100 marked on the base of of the corresponding oil pressure bell shaped sender would tell the tale.I should clarify that I am trying find the proper value of sender for the stock gauge. It has to be ether 80 or 100.
