1965 Rear Speaker Grill Color
« on: February 10, 2015, 01:09:25 AM »
For a dealer installed rear single speaker, were the grills black or did they paint them to closely match the interior or the package tray?
Thanks,

The rear speaker would be installed with the reverb system, typically dealer-installed.  Most I have seen, which is not many, had black speaker covers.  Believe that is the only way the kit came.

If a customer chose the rear speaker option back then did they also have to opt for a different radio?  AM/FM?  Or was the rear speaker available w/ the AM only radio?

The generic rear speaker kit installed by the dealer IMHO was installed with either of those two radios - Of course it would still be just mono
