Topic: NOS US Royal redline tire

Hunting for one or more US Royal redline for 66 SJ plant July 1 projected build.  Preferably one with Safety 1st logo, but will take one without.  Will buy out right or trade for other equally neat hi-po or early Mustang NOS parts. Maybe someone out there has an unused spare.  Will also buy a repro replacement for seller in that case.

You do realize there are two types of US Royal Dual Redline Tires. One type has scallops on the edge with the tread, the other is smooth. A picture of the smooth type is below.

Hi Jim, yes there are a few versions of the redline tires US Royal was producing in the 60?s with varying details.  The version used on the assembly line was the version without scallops, like the one in your photo.  The assembly line versions without scallops either had the ?Safety First? shield logo or it did not.  It is a difficult task hunting down all 5 tires with the same details.  Would you consider parting with yours or consider trading it for other equal neat nos parts?

No. Plus it's mounted on an original Style Steel Wheel and has never been used as a spare.
(PS: The two previous owners and me all worked at Ford Aerospace in Palo Alto, CA in the 60s thru 80s.)
