Topic: C8OE B and C8OE C Fan blade and clutch.

Trying to get info on the correct late 68 SCJ Mach 1 correct fan blade and clutch. Any leads here will be greatly appreciated.  It seems like it may only be for the 69 390 motor..?

I assume from your other posts that you are asking about a 12-10-68 built NJ SCJ Mach 1.  I did some research on this with help from Scott Hollenbeck's build sheet collection.  It appears that all of the early SCJ cars used the C9OE-H fan (no clutch).  Around the end of Feb / early March 1969 this changed and only the 4.30 gear SCJ cars received this fan.  The 3.91 cars then began getting the C9ZE clutch fan.

I have late 69 scj buildsheets for v code 391 cars that say c9ze fans after march 69 but i still dont have any documented late 3;91 cars that came from factory with the c9ze fan. This has been discussed on the cj forum with lots of info but i dont know of a documented car yet has anyone else. So many scj cars have been molested back when new at drag strips , street racing etc and had lightweight racing fans changed out etc. I have 2 late 69 scj 3;91 shelbys that i bought 20 some years ago and they both had c9oe-h fans  BUT i dont know the complete  history on these cars  as back in the 80s we thought all scj cars had c9oe-h fans  till we started looking at build sheets on late 69 v-code cars so anybody know of any late 69 3;91 cars that have a documented c9ze fan?

Jim,
You are correct. It is the 12-10-68 build date SCJ I am refering to.  So it appears I need to start looking for the correct C9OE-H fan. Bummer. I guess I can make a trade or sell to any one needing my C8OE - B and C clutch fan. Apparently there is a spacer between the fan blade and the pulley on the 68 build SCJ.

So what application would the c8oe B and the c8oe C  be correct for?

Looks like I have incorrect fan and clutch for my build date. However, I am going to run with it until I run across correct one.
