Engine Compartment Stickers for Later San Jose Built V8's
« on: March 24, 2021, 08:33:56 PM »
Had a request for the style and location of stickers for May through June 65 San Jose 289 cars so thought I should post some pictures so that they might help others. Basically didn't find any variations between the Jan built cars through the end of the production year as it concerns the stickers installed.

I've been able to place and identify
1- 289 Cubic Inch stickers. As shown in other threads I see no indication of another sticker applied to the top of the air cleaner lid used during this production period

2- Service Specifications

3- Battery Inspection- Found/seen in one of the two locations indicated in the picture below

4- For the later cars with the cast iron water pump the Engine ID sticker placed over the coil and bracket. The bottom left picture is from a Dearborn built car but the stickers were applied at the same engine plant and it was a better example of the same location shown (from a 65 San Jose car) to the right

Pictures only show a few of the pictures I have in my collection

Hope these will help others with the same need
