When visiting Jacky Jones last month he showed me an original poster that was displayed in Ford dealers showroom back in the day. It announced that the "K" code Mustang would be available in June 1964. It seems that the earliest cars in the "K" registry are all dated June 1964 with the exception of 5F07K100148 which is said to have been a prototype. Therefore it seems the poster is correct with June of 64 being the release date. Just my .02
