Did the windshield or back glass come with a weatherstrip or rubber of some sort around the edge of the glass?

Both used a weatherstrip to hold in place and weather seal the glass.

The rear glass uses a gasket, the front does not, but uses a bead of window sealer on the body that the glass is then laid into.

Have used the premade coil of adhesive with the embedded wire years ago That was great stuff though on hot days was a pain to cut/remove since the stuff was so goo it would reseal itself as you cut through it. Unlike with new cars where the windshield is part of the body construction and strength factoring I won't use anything that sets up fully. Like my windshield and rear window to have the ability to move slightly if need be. Just my choice
