I have the Marti, didn?t really break it down to that level. Just curious as I?ve not seen another 70? in that color. Bought the car off of my brother in 78? , he bought it in 72? , always looking to find another one somewhere? thanks!

No one knows. Ford didn't keep track of what color each special order paint car was painted. Kevin unfortunately can't help with this one. If your lucky and the car was ordered with other cars built and painted the same color and one of those has had the color and code confirmed then he could tell you how many were in that group but not all production for each plant or all plants.

Since you posted a specific paint color name, or at least one of the many used for a specific color not sure where you got the name of the color from. Ford documentation, in the glove box in a special order envelope, on the bottom of the cars build sheets and depending on the plant and year possibly the buck tag.

Have seen a couple of other 70's painted a similar or the same color but those as far as I was told were not part of a multiple car order

Using the search feature found a post from another member about a brown 70 he had or knew of

There are a fair number of discussions in past threads about the general subject of special order exterior paint cars and many examples though all classic years.

Don't recall seeing another. Typically the special order paint cars originally didn't come with matching painted exterior mirrors since the supplier only painted them standard colors. There have been some painted mirrors found on cars but its yet to be determined if they were original or added by owners or during a restoration since for some the non-remote chrome mirrors look odd

Hi Jeff thanks! I added the color coordinated racing mirrors when I bought the car off my brother. Car has been through a lot from winter driving with cylinder blocks in the trunk as DD,to lots of drag racing fun over the years! Currently still has the numbers matching Block thanks to Ross Bullock rebuilding the 428 ,boring and stroking it to 465 cubes. Running strong and a blast to drive!

Well that would seem to answer the question if it was a single car order or a group. Wonder if the local dealership was running a special local promotion. Ford and dealers often did similar things to boost sales when it got to the spring time since the car models were a bit old by then

Looks like you've really enjoy the car.
