'66 T10 trans details
« on: May 05, 2025, 01:14:50 PM »
Looking for any good reference info/pics on original details of a '66 Mustang T10 HEK-AD 4sp transmission.  I have one that is rebuilt and had the main case and tail shaft phosphated.  The center plate is aluminum, side plate is cast iron.

I have seen some with an aluminum side plate, which I don't think would be common for this trans.

Looking for any info on hardware markings/finishes and if any common paint markings/stamps.

Thanks

Haven't seen or found any paint markings or paint stamps. Muncie possibly didn't use the same practices as Ford did or some of the companies that made parts for Ford during the period. In my searches I included GM products also since a lot more of them used the Muncie transmissions and I couldn't find those with paint markings on unrestored or restored examples. Just my experiences to this point
