Topic: Parking Lamp Switch and Door Glass Channel

Can someone please tell me if this part is only for bolt-in door glass? NPD description says its for both, bolt-in and glued-in glass channels but I can?t find where these would go on mine early 69.
Also I would like to know whats the intention of the rubber hose which is attached to the parking lamp switch. If the pedal is pressed down the hose touches the parking brake assy somewhere but it seems it doesn?t have a defined location where it should touch it...:

Have to go through a bunch of pictures for the first window roller. Sure someone will get to answering it before I do. But will keep it in mind

As for the emergency brake warning switch. I don't recall ever seeing a hose slipped over the arm. Likely some PO shade tree fix

I?m quite sure that I?ve seen a photo where the hose is longer than on the WCCC pic but shorter than on mine. I?ll look for it tonight.

The NPD part is for bolt in glass as it fits between the glass and the bolt on window guides.
The last of the 1969 model mustangs had bolt in glass.
Also the link you attached shows a picture that would be correct as it shows a small section of rubber tube on the end of the e brake switch.
I can post a picture of mine if required.

Thanks for the link. Easy to see that what you found is very different from factory. Not sure why the past owner thought it was a good fix given the length and such but sure it was a quick and easy effort

Snip the flattened hose where it starts to bend upward (1/4?) and it will closely match the West Coast Cougar example. I would put a dab of weatherstrip adhesive on the arm before sliding on the modified short section of hose so as to hold in place.

So regarding the NPD part, then it seems there is an error in their description:

Bushings for 1970+ bolt-in glass.

Not sure about bolt in glass in 1969's (coupe or convertible). We find very early 1970 Cougars with 1970 glue in glass, slightly longer door glass, but use regular 1970 quarter glass (quarter glass is still glued in).

By the way: how do you restore the felt of the rear window stop?  On mine the smal piece of metal which holds the felt is rotten away...
