1965 dual exhaust mufflers

Hi,

Just purchased a fastback mustang! I'm combing through it now!! Is this muffler original or a repro? What do the numbers mean, I believe the otherside is the same.

That looks to be a replacement Ford item. Indicative of the "Ford" oval stamping and not the typical "FoMoCo" earlier stamping. Definitely not factory assembly line for that year. Scott Fuller makes some real nice reproduction concours quality systems. An assembly line muffler would look something like the ones in the link below from Scott's website:

Those are easily identified as service replacements because of the julian date code that Ford vendors started to use from 1970 on.
