64 1/2 Absence of Engine Bay Decals
« on: September 03, 2014, 11:46:33 AM »
In looking at pictures of early 64 1/2 cars, I am not seeing the LH shock tower service specification decal nor a Battery OK decal.  There has been discussion in the past about this, I believe Mike Murray first made the observation and informed me of it.  It's accepted that the trunk jacking instruction decal would normally not be there on a 64 1/2 also.  Would like to get  input from the group on their observations?  Please, no restored cars, unless there are original pics before restoration.

The glove box tire pressure decal may also have been absent on early cars.  Although a very early car, the pics I have of 100211 do not show any decals mentioned.

My two January '65 Dearborn convertibles did not have the jacking instructions on the deck lid.  So that came later, at least at Dearborn.
