Taillight panel edge
« on: March 12, 2016, 09:02:43 PM »
I need help with a question, replaced my taillight panel and already got rid of the old one. Can someone verify for me that the lip in the picture I posted gets cut off? Thanks in advance!

I've got the same issue. Been told to bend it under 180 deg.

I just found one of my pictures from my original taillight panel and it looks like it is a 90 degree bend. Check out the picture.

Wish my body guy had saved mine so I could see how it was originally. I just do not remember a sharp edge like that, but that may be the way it was? I've got the metal, I'm going to use a pair of welding pliers and a butane torch and slowly roll it 180 deg if I can. Helps that I just cut the center of the tail light panel out for the Shelby tail light panel.

I cant tell from the photo, is it an edge, or does it make a 90 and go under?

I believe it just goes down and ends with a sheared edge.

My plan has always been to roll it under, dont like the idea of a sharp edge right there. As 13Outlaw and I have the extra metal (if its not supposed to be there), we are either going to make it proper, or improve on it.

Here's a pic of cut out panel on 2060.
