Did it need to be dated coded and if so what are you looking for?

If I recall the 1970 cylinder is unique to 1970 beyond that date code is not important to me.

Pump and reservoir are the only things unique on a 1970, with 302 or 351 engines.

Not sure about 6 cylinder power steering.

67-70 uses a fair number of interchangeable parts. Including the cylinder.
There are major differences with 351C/Boss parts (pump, bracket, hoses and end fitting sizes) as compared to the 351W  and the drag link is specific to 70 Mustangs as the tie rods got bigger.

Interchangeable yes but I think there was some manufacturing difference in the tube in 70 but maybe not.  I dont have any in hand to compare so they might be exactly the same but for a date stamp.

If Ford changes anything on a part it almost always changes the part number.
So if the part did change it would most likely have a different part number in the MPC.
D0Z would be the first three numbers in the MPC for a changed part happening in 1970 for Mustang.
But Ford (all the way through this final publication in May of 1975) indicated the use of a C7ZZ part as shown in this snippet of that publication.
