I believe the main harness has AC accommodations on all cars. There maybe an auxiliary harness  added when AC was specified.

Since this thread is not car plant specific (since heater hose installation was a car plant thing) would like to share that I've not seen or found these straps on San Jose built cars. Don't recall seeing them until I started looking at later 60's-early 70's cars built at other plants

As usual the assembly manuals were what Ford wanted done (after the date printed on the individual sheet or until a correction was made on a later printing of the sheet) not always what the guys on the line choose to do. Yes the vast majority of details had to be the same just to complete the car but there are always the exceptions  ::)

Yes most people leave this task to the machine shops. They can do it quicker and have the tools. Don't know allot of owners with the tools to measure the bores and such.

If your still focused on doing it yourself I suggest you visit a couple of local engine builders and see if they have a blank sheet you can copy

Absolutely correct.  However, the green wire with boot was only available if (1) the car had AC and (2) the underdash harness is original to the car.

Thanks - So there was a AC and non-AC underdash wire loom?

I don't think that the yellow warning sticker came into use until 71 production.

But was sent out to all registered owners of earlier cars with a letter instructing owners to apply the sticker to their space saver wheel.

In any case the paint markings are not consistent with ones found on other 70 Boss 302's Spare is not a reproduction, none have been reproduced but rim at least is likely from a later application.

Have not figured out the markings to the tread yet but those likely relate to the tire and its supplier not the completed assembly

Did look for that Carb but could find it - likely gave it to someone that could use it.  I do recall these brackets being zinc dichromate from recall.

As always with zinc dichromate the yellow/gold color does not last as long as the underlaying zinc and can often be thin/washed out. Originally it was more of a wash/dye job and its not unusual for current platters to apply it with a heavier hand IMHO

Just adding couple of pictures to illustrate the items being discussed and how age can affect finishes. Also the location and how much expose it got over the years can affect the life of the wash/dye also. In some below we can make out other dichromated parts elsewhere on the carbs

Remember lighting, contrast and camera settings can effect what you are seeing in the pictures

I put in a '67 gas tank with it. Very much like the 3M product. Seems to be good stuff.

No problem JOE, glad to help you out. I uploaded a shot of the inside of the door shell I used for a template. Note the 2 inch cloth tape that covers the holes after the moldings are attached. Good luck on your project!.......CHRIS
inside and outside templates off a pair of original 70 mach1 doors.
Anyone still have a template saved ?
